To complement your holiday, we can arrange a Yoga teacher for you on request. We also offer an intensive 3-week Yoga Teacher Training course. Our sea front location in beautiful natural surroundings really is a perfect spot for Yogic learning and relaxation.

Guests can choose from early morning or evening sessions, on a one-to-one or group basis. We offer 5 or 10-session packages according to the length of your stay, and single sessions are also available. Reduced prices apply if you pre-book. Our certified yoga teacher, Monika Munzinger (ERYT 500) has more than 25 years and 10 000 hours of extensive yoga teaching experience. Her teaching style is interactive and dynamic by nature with emphasis on the Iyengar Style. Monika’s happy and positive nature is reflected in her classes.

During July and August, The Tamarisk arranges a weekly BBQ on the hotel’s private beach for all guests. With a sizzling feast of meat, fish, Turkish Meze and salads this is a great evening for getting all our like-minded guests together in the spirit of sun, sea and holidays!

Our Turkish Night is very popular and lots of fun for everyone, with a spread of delicious traditional Turkish cuisine, music and dancing, guests get together to enjoy the Turkish tastes and rhythms in our beautiful hotel setting.

The Tamarisk is simply great for kids. We have a large pool with a shallow children’s pool where activities are organised daily. Kids enjoy table tennis and volleyball, as well as our water sports based Kids Club for 6-14 yr olds. Every morning from 10-12, kids can participate in a range of activities accompanied and guided by our experienced staff; a favourite are our kayaking expeditions to the nearby Camel beach.

The Tamarisk organizes a fascinating day trip to Etrim village near Mumcular, 24 kms from Bodrum. Nomads first settled here in this mountain village around 500 years ago and daily life has changed little. With a population of 300, life in Etrim relies on agriculture and the important Nomadic tradition of carpet and kilim weaving which is passed down through generations of women. We provide a private guide and minibus transportation for a great day, which includes lunch. Guests get to watch the rare craft of carpet weaving and share the unforgettable warmth and hospitality of the locals.

This full day guided tour of Ephesus takes you to the most well preserved ancient city in Turkey, and one of the most important cultural and trading centers of its time. Wander through the atmospheric ancient streets of Ephesus, explore the Temple of Hadrian, the famous Library of Celsus, The Great Theater and see the site’s Archaeological Museum. You can also visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and the House of the Virgin Mary where it is believed she spent her last years.

Scuba Diving is operated direct from The Tamarisk Hotel. We work with one of the most experienced diving companies in the region with whom you can take a course to become a certified diver or join the one day taster Discover Scuba.

A Daily boat trip is one of the best ways to enjoy the region’s turquoise waters and secluded bays and coves. You also get a stunning new view of the Bodrum Peninsula’s coastline. With fantastic opportunities for swimming and snorkeling and a delicious lunch onboard, guests can either join a group or take the tour privately.

To explore the Bodrum area at your leisure, rent a car daily. We can arrange car or jeep rentals for you on request.
